Molecular and genetic researches for determination of risk of malignancies of different types
It is possible to determine molecular and genetic markers associated with the development of genetically tumor syndromes. At present the Republican Molecular and Genetic Laboratory of Carcinogenesis offers the procedure of determination of genetic defects typical for:
- genetic forms of mammary gland and/or ovaries cancer – determination of germinal mutations in genes BRCA1 and BRCA2, CHEK.
- genetic forms of colon cancer – determination of mutations in genes MSH6 and MLH1 at hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer and determination of mutations in gene APC at familial adenomatous polyposis.
- hereditary gastric cancer – determination of germinal mutations in gene CDH1.
