The Health Care Establishment «1st City Clinical Hospital» 

The Health Care Establishment «1st City Clinical Hospital» in Minsk was established on April 1, 1931 and is one of the oldest medical and preventive institutions in Minsk.

For many years of work in the hospital, traditions were created and vast experience in the organization of medical care was accumulated. At present, it is a multidisciplinary medical and preventive institution, which has 680 regular beds and a full set of medical diagnostic rooms equipped with modern medical equipment. The clinical hospital is the base for the departments: cardiology and rheumatology, nephrology, ultrasound diagnostics, neonetology and medical genetics of BelMAPO, endocrinology, internal diseases, anesthesiology and resuscitation, obstetrics and gynecology.

In its structure, the hospital has the following bed profiles:

• Cardiological:

2 departments for treatment of patients with myocardial infarction — 120 beds;

Department for the treatment of patients with chronic coronary artery disease and hypertension — by 50 beds;

Interventional department for hospitalization and treatment of patients requiring cardiac intervention — for 20 beds.

• Therapeutic:

Rheumatology department — for 70 beds.

Endocrinology department — 50 beds;

Nephrology department — for 60 beds.

• Obstetric:

Obstetric physiological department — for 60 beds;

Observatory department — 40 beds;

Department of pregnancy pathology — 60 beds.

• Gynecological:

2 gynecological departments — for 120 beds (including 10 children’s gynecological)

The service of anesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care includes:

• Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation (with intensive care units) — 24 beds;
• Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation (with intensive care units) for newborns — 6 beds.

To carry out complex high-tech cardiosurgical operations from 01.01.2004, the clinic has an angiographic room equipped with the most modern equipment and highly qualified personnel trained in the best centers in Europe and Russia.

Every year angiographic room performs:

1400 cardiosurgical interventions on the heart and blood vessels,

2000 X-ray angiography studies.

To provide specialized medical care to patients with chronic renal failure, the clinic operates a hemodialysis department for 28 dialysis sites, operating in a three-shift regime.

Annually, the number of dialysis performed is about 17.2-17.5 thousand units.

The organization of medical-diagnostic care is carried out by highly qualified doctors.

Doctor of the highest qualification category — 52 people;

Doctor of the 1st qualification category — 84 people;

Each year, hospital departments receive inpatient treatment of about 27,000 patients, about 9,000 surgical interventions of varying complexity are performed.

Inpatient treatment is carried out with the use of modern medicines and medical technologies in wards of increased comfort.
