Ostrovets Central District Clinical Hospital
The activities of the healthcare institution «Ostrovets Central District Clinical Hospital» began in July 1944. Starting from January 31, 2020, a new hospital complex was put into operation and the Institution acquired the status of a Clinical Hospital. Today, the Ostrovets Central District Clinical Hospital is one of the largest modern multidisciplinary medical institutions in the Grodno region of the Republic of Belarus and is located in Ostrovets, 50 kilometers from the border with the Republic of Lithuania.
The hospital is equipped with modern high-tech equipment, all conditions have been created for the treatment of patients, taking into account all needs. Medical care is provided by specialists of the highest, 1st, 2nd qualification category
The institution’s bed capacity is 367 beds of which 317 are short-term beds, on the basis of which the following departments are deployed:
- Inter-district obstetrics department — 25 beds (including 10 beds for pregnant women and women in labor, 15 beds for pregnancy pathology);
- Gynecology department — 20 beds (including 10 beds for pregnancy pathology, 10 beds for inter-district laparoscopic gynecology)
- Inter-district cardiology department — 60 beds with a resource center for «Acute coronary syndrome» (including 50 cardiology beds, 10 infarction beds).
- Neurological department – 40 beds; with a resource center for «Acute cerebrovascular accident and suspected acute cerebrovascular accident» (including 28 neurological beds, 12 stroke beds);
- Surgical department — 40 beds (including 20 surgical beds:- purulent surgery 10 beds, interdistrict urological 10 beds), since 04/25/2022 5 laparoscopic surgery beds have been organized;
- Interdistrict trauma department — 30 beds;
- Interdistrict infectious diseases department — 20 beds;
- Medical rehabilitation department (hospital) — 20 beds (including:- neurological rehabilitation 8 beds;- trauma rehabilitation 6 beds;- rehabilitation cardiology 6 beds);
- Interdistrict X-ray endovascular surgery office (performs complex high-tech cardiac surgery);
- Interdistrict transfusiology center;
- Interdistrict department «Marriage and Family»;
- Interdistrict PCR laboratory
- Interdistrict department of perinatal ultrasound diagnostics;
- Pediatric department — 20 beds
- Therapeutic department — 30 beds
- Department of anesthesiology and resuscitation — 12 beds.
