State Institution » N.N. Alexandrov Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Oncology and Medical Radiology» of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus is a leading medical institution in the field of oncological care in the Republic of Belarus. The center provides a full range of services in the field of oncology, also for foreign citizens on a fee basis.
Since 2001, the Center has been being actively modernized. Step by step new buildings are put into operation, the most modern diagnostic and medical equipment is being installed.
In 2015, the new buildings of the Republican Molecular Genetic Laboratory of Carcinogenesis and the Republican Center for Positron Emission Tomography were commissioned. Thanks to the equipment of the laboratory, which corresponds to the best world standards, the most modern research can be carried out here.
The best representatives of the national school of oncology work at the Center: 80 researchers, 23 doctors of medical sciences, 11 professors, 74 candidates of medical and biological sciences. Scientific and practical activities are actively carried out.
High authority of the Center in the international oncological community is confirmed by numerous awards. Thus, in 2009 the European Business Assembly awarded the Center with the honorary label «European Quality» for achievements in the field of oncology.
Since 2014, the State Institution «N.N. Alexandrov RSPC of Oncology and Medical Radiology is a member of the international organization Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).

Modern equipment, which the Center is equipped with, allows establishing a diagnosis in the shortest possible time in the most difficult cases. Annually in the center about 1 million various diagnostic and laboratory researches, more than 10 thousand operations are carried out. The patients of the Center have a very wide geography. Citizens of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Libya, USA, Great Britain, Venezuela, and Iraq are examined and treated.
The work of our Center allows patients with oncological diseases not to consider their diagnosis as a sentence. Individual approach, attention and responsiveness of high-class specialists are the guarantor of a favorable outcome of treatment (in most cases).

PET-CT is a hybrid modality, it is a method of choice in early diagnosis of oncological, neurological and cardiological diseases. It combines the possibilities of non-invasive detection of morphological (due to the use of computer tomography data) and metabolic (due to positron emission tomography data) changes.
Thus, the degree of damage to organs / systems, and the violation of their functions can be assessed.
