• Cardiosurgical

  The cardiosurgical department of the institution is equipped with modern devices meeting all current requirements of cardiac surgery. The operating rooms are equipped with laminar flows, ensuring sterility of the operating field during long operations, modern DRÄGER anesthesia, TERUMO System, CELLSAVER DIDECO device (for blood reinfusion), intra-aortic balloon counterpulsator ARROW, CARDIOBLATE® 68000 (surgical ablation system).

  More than 1000 heart operations are carried out in the department per year.

• Eye Microsurgery

  The department of eye microsurgery of the institution is equipped with the necessary medical and diagnostic equipment, which is used to provide highly qualified specialized assistance to ophthalmic patients with various diseases of the eye. There is separate operating room in the department equipped with specialized ophthalmic devices.

  With the help of modern medical equipment, experienced ophthalmologists carry out a comprehensive diagnostic examination of the vision organ, provide qualified assistance, select treatment tactics, and determine indications for surgical intervention, conservative treatment and laser coagulation of the retina.

  On the basis of the department, modern methods of diagnosing and treating patients are constantly being introduced, reconstructive operations are applied in case of severe injuries and diseases of the teardrop apparatus, implantation of intraocular lenses with fixation of supporting elements.

  More than 2000 surgical interventions are performed every year

• Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

  The Department of Maxillofacial Surgery is the only one in the Mogilev region. Specialized consultative-diagnostic and medical-surgical care is provided to patients with pathology of maxillofacial area (purulent-inflammatory diseases, trauma of the facial skull, benign tumors of the face, congenital malformations, dental implantation).

  The most prominent research method are used in the field of diagnostics:

  X-ray CT, MRI, ultrasound, radioisotope studies (sialoscintigraphy), X-ray images (including orthopantomogram), histological and cytological examination of operating material. Modern methods of treatment are introduced and used in the department. Over a year, about 2600 patients are treated, 2000 patients are operated (about 40 operations are high-tech).

  Для диагностики заболеваний используют самые современные исследования: РКТ, МРТ, УЗИ, радиоизотопные исследования (сиалосцинтиграфия), рентгеновские снимки (включая ортопантомограмму), гистологическое и цитологическое исследование операционного материала. В отделении внедрены и используются современные методы лечения. За год пролечивается около 2600 пациентов, оперируется 2000 пациентов (порядка 40 операций — высокотехнологичны).

• Vascular Surgery

  The Department of Vascular Surgery was opened in May 1975. Annually about 1,500 people with blood vessel diseases (obliterating diseases of arteries of lower extremities, visceral and brachiocephalic arteries, arterial aneurysms of various locations, diseases of veins) are treated in the department annually.

  More than 900 operations are performed on the aorta, arteries and veins.

  The technique of endovenous laser coagulation is successfully applied for the treatment of varicose veins of the subcutaneous veins. Interventions like angioplasty and stenting of blood vessels are performed, which in some cases allow avoiding traumatic «open» surgical interventions. Currently, in terms of the volume of work performed and the technologies used, the Department of Vascular Surgery occupies one of the leading places among the angio-surgical centers of the Republic of Belarus.

• Traumatological

  Traumatology department of the institution is equipped with modern equipment to provide highly specialized orthopedic and trauma care and endoprosthetics of large joints.

  • Operational equippedwith:
  • Specialized orthopedic tables, modern new arthroscopic equipment produced by Wolf, Germany.
  • New power tools for bone processing produced by Aesculap (Germany), Stryker (USA).
  • New systems for intraosseous osteosynthesis with blocking produced by ChM, MEDGAL (Poland).

  In modern sets of endoprostheses, the ceramic heads produced by company BIOLOX (Germany) are used.

  For revision knee and hip joint endoprosthetics, W.Link prostheses (Germany) are used.

  Various types of osteosynthesis of fractures of all localizations are performed. Most operations are performed using minimally invasive technologies. All operations are performed using the most modern fixators — plates with angular stability, intramedullary pins with blocking, allowing achieving the most rapid rehabilitation of patients. Intraoperative anesthesia is performed using the most advanced techniques that allow performing analgesia with minimal risk (conduction anesthesia with ultrasound navigation) and high efficiency.
