Ophthalmology

Ophthalmology is a subdivision of medical science, which studies diseases of an eyebulb and its parts, and also pacefollower, which surrounds the eye and bone structures, which form the eye socket. While diagnosing ophthalmological diseases specialists use a great number of special methods of eye examination, instrumental and very informative ones. High qualification of medical specialists of Belarusian clinics and their long-term experience make it possible to find a solution to any problem and to carry out an up-to-date examination with the application of present-day achievements in ophthalmology.

Ophthalmology

  • Accumulated experience and knowledge are widely applied in the treatment of the following diseases:
  • — refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism);
  • — glaucoma;
  • — inflammatory diseases of the eye;
  • — retinal disease;
  • — cataracts;
  • — keratoconus;
  • — strabismus;
  • — pterygium;
  • — spasm of accommodation;
  • — chalazion and other formation of eyelids, as well as
  • — anomalies in their structure;
  • — lacrimation, etc.

Diagnostics of vision

  • Complete eye examination
  • Measurement of intraocular pressure by various methods
  • Optical coherence tomography of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye
  • Fundus examination with photo and video
  • Computer static and kinetic perimetry
  • Ultrasound of eyes and its auxiliary apparatus
  • Studies condition, structure and thickness of the cornea

Ophthalmic surgery

  • Laser vision correction
  • Laser coagulation of the retina
