Phlebology (Greek: «phlebos» (vein) and «logos» (knowledge)) is a branch of medicine, which studies veins’ structure and their functions, and which is also involved into the development of diagnostic, treatment methods and methods to prevent from vessel diseases. Phlebology is one of the most important and popular branches nowadays, which can be explained by the high incidence of vein diseases in modern society. This branch requires a high technical capacity to treat vein diseases with up-to-date and the most effective methods.
